MVB E-Bike Shop was born during the COVID-19 pandemic, starting as a small online store focused on selling bike accessories. In 2022, driven by a desire to go further and meet the growing demand for reliable e-bike and e-scooter repairs, we decided to expand our horizons and add repair services to our portfolio. To ensure the highest standard of service, our founder, Mateus, pursued professional training — earning a Diploma in Bicycle Engineering from the Academy in Limerick (graduating with distinction), a City & Guilds qualification, and completing a business course with LOETB.

With these qualifications, Mateus and his wife opened a modest repair space in 2022. Encouraged by positive feedback and steady growth, they took the next step and, in January 2023, officially launched MVB E-Bike Shop in a larger, fully equipped location in Dublin city centre. The business soon expanded online, offering nationwide access to premium e-bikes, parts, and expert repairs.

Today, serving Portlaoise either, MVB E-Bike Shop is a trusted reference in e-bikes, e-scooters, and battery services in both Dublin and Portlaoise. We are now a team of three experienced specialists, passionate about what we do and committed to delivering high-quality service with every bike we touch — helping more people move with confidence, stay safe, and enjoy the road ahead
