1. Diagnostic Deposit & Minimum Service Charge

A non-refundable diagnostic deposit of €60 is required for all non-warranty repairs and diagnostic work, excluding standard puncture repairs.

The deposit must be paid at the time of check-in or when booking a repair for a future date.

If you approve and proceed with the repair, the €60 deposit will be credited towards your final invoice.

The €60 deposit will be retained if:

• You choose not to proceed after receiving a quotation.
• The item is found to be unrepairable.
• The item is considered uneconomical to repair.
• The required parts are unavailable or cannot reasonably be sourced.

The deposit covers the labour and administrative work involved in inspecting the item, diagnosing the fault, researching parts, preparing the quotation and communicating with the customer.

In many cases, accurately diagnosing a fault requires partial disassembly, electrical testing or the temporary installation of replacement components to confirm the source of the problem.

If you decide not to proceed after this work has been completed, the item may need to be reassembled and temporary test components removed. This work is time-consuming and chargeable.

For this reason, €60 is the minimum diagnostic and service charge for all non-warranty repairs, even where the item cannot ultimately be repaired.

For the purposes of these terms, “service” includes all physical and administrative work carried out during inspection, diagnosis, quotation preparation, parts research, customer communication, repair, reassembly and testing.

2. Collection & Abandoned Items Policy

Once you have been notified that your item is ready for collection, it must be collected within 7 calendar days.

Notification may be sent by telephone, SMS, WhatsApp, email or another contact method provided by the customer.

Items not collected within the free seven-day collection period will be subject to the following storage charges:

If an item remains uncollected for more than 28 days after the collection deadline, MVB E-Bike Shop will make reasonable efforts to contact the customer and may issue a final written collection notice.

If the item is still not collected within the period stated in the final notice, MVB E-Bike Shop reserves the right, to the extent permitted by applicable law, to treat the item as uncollected or abandoned.

The item may then be recycled, disposed of or sold in order to recover any outstanding repair, diagnostic, storage and administrative costs, subject to applicable Irish law.

3. Pricing & Discounts Policy

Effective from 21 July 2026, all service and repair prices at MVB E-Bike Shop have been increased by 20%.

This adjustment has become necessary due to the continued increase in operating costs, including supplier pricing, shipping and logistics, utilities, labour costs, inflation and other global economic factors that directly affect our business.

We remain committed to providing professional workmanship, quality parts and reliable after-sales support. This adjustment allows us to continue delivering the standard of service our customers expect.

All prices are fixed and non-negotiable.

Customers are kindly requested not to ask staff members for discounts. Employees are not authorised to negotiate prices or offer discounts unless expressly approved by management.

Any unauthorised discount may result in internal disciplinary action in accordance with company policy.

4. Customer Agreement

By leaving your bicycle, e-bike, scooter, battery, component or other item with MVB E-Bike Shop for inspection, diagnosis, service or repair, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

You authorise MVB E-Bike Shop to carry out the inspection and diagnostic work reasonably required to identify the reported fault.

Any additional repair work exceeding the approved quotation will require further customer authorisation.
